Quasimodo
Tal used his advanced knowledge of vintage lever machines and his skills in designing custom espresso machines to create one of the first dual Automatic-Lever Espresso Machines. The machine is ingeniously designed so that the lever runs through a heat exchanger and thermo-siphon producing quality espresso in every shot.
With this revamped Rancilio Classe 8 machine, affectionately known as Quasimodo Tal has been able to share his love of lever machines in a new and clever way. Running a traditional lever and automatic machine side by side Tal can demonstrate the difference a lever machine can make on the quality of an espresso—a difference that he feels will have a significant effect on the modern craft of espresso making.
